Duplicate an event

Duplicate an event when you want to reuse its setup for another event time. You need permission to manage events in the organization.

Create the copy

  1. Open Events in the organizer workspace.
  2. Find the event and open its three-dot actions menu.
  3. Select Duplicate.
  4. In Duplicate Event, enter a New first event date to move the copied schedule to a new date. Clear this field to keep the original dates.
  5. Select Duplicate and wait for the new event's details to open.

Duplicate Event dialog with October 22, 2026 selected as the new first event date.

The new event is a draft with (Copy) in its name. Further copies receive a numbered suffix. Existing tickets stay with the original event; duplicating the event does not move those bookings into the copy.

How “New first event date” shifts the schedule

Eventyr copies the event times that are not archived. It uses the earliest of those event times to calculate how many days to move the schedule, then shifts all copied event times by that same amount. It does not put every event time on the date you enter.

For example, suppose the original event has these three event times in October 2026. Entering October 22, 2026 as the New first event date moves the schedule forward by 14 days:

Original event timeCopied event time
October 8 at 7:00 PMOctober 22 at 7:00 PM
October 10 at 2:00 PMOctober 24 at 2:00 PM
October 10 at 7:00 PMOctober 24 at 7:00 PM

The two-day gap and the two event times on the second date are preserved. End times shift too. Clearing New first event date keeps the original schedule in the copy. Neither choice changes the original event's schedule.

Review the draft

Update Event Name and review the descriptions, venue, seating, and prices. Open Event Times and check every copied start and end time before publishing. If the move crosses a daylight-saving time change, the displayed local times can shift by an hour; adjust them if needed. If you kept the original dates, make sure they are still appropriate for the new event.

Follow the event setup guide to finish reviewing and publish when ready.

If duplication fails, check the Events list for a new draft before trying again. Include the original event name and exact message when contacting support.
