Overview

Your account identifies you when you work with an organization. Personal settings control your profile, preferences, and sign-in, while your organization role determines which work you can do. Changing a preference does not grant additional permissions.

If you belong to several organizations, check which one is selected before working with its events or customers. Organization-wide settings are managed under Organization & team.

Profile & preferences

Your profile name helps colleagues recognize you. Appearance settings let you choose how the workspace looks, and the Getting Started preference controls whether that entry is shown for you.

Personal email and Support Inbox notifications concern the updates you receive. They are separate from the organization's notification defaults. Review the relevant preference when you want to change your own notifications, rather than altering the team's defaults.

Security & sign-in

Changing a password while signed in and recovering a forgotten password are different workflows. Use password recovery when you cannot sign in; use the account's password settings when you already have access and want to change it.

An operator PIN is used for the mobile-device workflow. It is personal and separate from your account password. Device settings determine when an operator PIN is required; setting a PIN does not itself grant access to a device or organization.

Finish work on shared equipment

Use Log out when you finish on a shared browser. Closing a tab alone does not establish that the sign-in has ended. Keep passwords and operator PINs private rather than sharing them to work around a role restriction.

Account deletion is a separate, consequential action. Read the account deletion guide and the confirmation carefully before using it. If you only need a colleague's organization access removed, use the team-management workflow instead.
