Temporary check-in access

Use an access link to let a volunteer check in attendees for a particular event time without creating a staff account. An organization owner can create and revoke these links.

  1. Open check-in for the correct event time.
  2. Select Access links. On a phone, this is the link icon in the page header.
  3. Review Starts and Ends, including the displayed time zone. The access should cover the period when the volunteer needs to work.
  4. Enter a useful Label, such as “Cedar Grove front door,” to help identify the link later.
  5. Select Create link.
Access links dialog with a start and end time and Cedar Grove front door entered as the label.

The new URL appears in Latest link. Give it only to the volunteer who needs access. Anyone with the link may be able to use its check-in access while it is active. The QR code is covered until you choose to reveal it.

Open the link on the device you will use at the door. It opens check-in for the assigned event time. You can find attendees and check in their group. On a phone, select Ticket List to search.

Temporary access does not include the Access links management control. Ask the organizer if you need access for a different event time or cannot open the screen.

Revoke access

As the organization owner, open Access links again. Find the labeled link under Active links and select Revoke. Eventyr confirms Access link revoked and removes it from the active list.

A volunteer with the page already open loses access when it is checked again; reloading shows Check-in link unavailable. Opening the revoked link again shows that it is invalid or unavailable. Ask the organizer for a current link if you still need to work.
